Our Story
Pharr, TexasTrident Custom Rods started in 2023 the way most great fishing businesses do — out of a genuine love for the craft. We began building custom fishing rods and getting them directly into the hands of local anglers, delivering personally and building relationships one rod at a time.
There was no storefront, no warehouse — just quality builds, word of mouth, and a commitment to doing things right. That foundation is still what drives everything we do today.
How We Got Here
Our journeyTrident Custom Rods launched as an online-only operation, building custom fishing rods to order and delivering them personally to customers across the Rio Grande Valley. Every rod was built by hand to exact customer specs — blank, guides, handle, and finish.
After two years of building a loyal customer base through online orders and personal deliveries, we took the next step and opened a physical storefront in Pharr, Texas. For the first time, customers could walk in, see the work in person, discuss a build face to face, and take home their order on the spot.
With the storefront running, we expanded into custom hand-poured soft plastics. Made in small batches with custom colors and patterns, our lures are crafted with the same care as our rods. No two are exactly alike — that's not a flaw, that's the point.
In 2026 we completed the shop by adding Pro-Cure scents and attractants and a range of pre-made terminal tackle — ready to fish, in stock, and available online and in store.
The next chapter for Trident is already in the works — custom terminal tackle built in-house. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to launch.

We carry a selection of Pro-Cure products — trusted scents and attractants used by serious anglers to put more fish in the boat.
Pre-made terminal tackle available in store and online. Hooks, weights, jig heads, and more — everything you need to rig up and get on the water.
We're currently working on bringing custom-built terminal tackle to the shop. Built in-house with the same attention to detail as everything else we make. Stay tuned for updates.
